PBBA Bylaws

Our bylaws detail membership, officers, elections, and more.

Members can join as a single, family, or business membership and will pay yearly dues according to their choice. Single members hold one vote and each family and business membership will hold up to two votes. Children under the age of 18 cannot vote in club matters.

Honorary membership may be bestowed upon anyone who has rendered outstanding service to furthering beekeeping and PBBA. Such members must be approved by a majority board member vote. Honorary membership does not require payment of dues, and as such holds no vote in the business of the association.

Officers of the association consist of President, Vice President, and Secretary. Optional offices of Publications Director and Treasurer may be appointed by the board as needed. All officers and committee chairs must be 18+ years of age. Duties of such officers are outlined in the bylaws.

Membership dues are as follows:

Single Membership is $35/year, Family Memberships are $50/year, and Business Memberships are $40/year. Membership dues are set annually by the board at the yearly November meetings and are payable/due by the regularly scheduled club meetings in January.

Recommended membership for first time beekeepers are first year membership with beginner beekeeping class. Fees are $60 for single member, and $100 family membership.
